Remember, it's not who "follows" you on Twitter, Facebook or other social media that is nearly as important as who YOU "follow!" Jesus said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19).
So, first and foremost, follow Jesus! He is LORD and he never fails!
Second, friendships are important - whether online or off...And Jesus also said, "You are my friends if you do what I command." (NIV John 15:14). And James wrote, "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God." (NIV James 4;4).
So be friendly and be friends with people so as to show them the love of Christ and hopefully be able to share the good news of the gospel with them if they are not already a lover of God and disciple of Christ.
But do not have a friendship with the world, (the world system and all that it represents in open and defiant rebellion towards God - the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life..."For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world." (NIV I John 2:16) That is what we are to hate!

Harold
