An individual I worked with, M. K., had a problem with the Office of Personnel Management Retirement Board. He called and called their toll free numbers and did not get any help. His nephew tried to get help from the agency on the Internet, but again, there was no response from the agency. He was trying to get his nephew's monthly annuity check from his father's death benefit that was owed to him. He could not get anyone in this huge government agency to respond to him. In one day, in about 30 minutes time, I had a young lady on the phone who could help them. I discussed Mike’s nephew’s case with her and she reinstated his payments immediately. She told me that Mike’s nephew would have his first annuity payment sent to him in about 10 days. He received his 1st check for his nephew the week of July 7th, 2006, which was just about 2 weeks.
