I received the following email from a consumer. I am going to forward it on to someone at Proctor & Gamble for a response. I will let you know if I hear back from someone at P&G.
"Charmin's good in some place, it's terrible in others. I use it in NJ and it's
great. Whichever factory is supplying it in Florida is making a terrible
product- totally NON-absorbent! Toss it in the toilet- it floats! When you
flush, it doesn't even go down. Try to blot up water with it, and it stays dry-
won't pick up the water.
After 4 years of this, I finally tested
northern paper vs southern, and wrote P&G asking for an explanation. Result?
They send you a coupon for some free toilet paper (in packaging that no store I
can find uses), then ignores the question. Wrote back and they got a bit surly-
said they were looking into it so why was I bothering them again? Six months
later, I've still not heard from them."
